چکیده

In previous papers we have considered mutual simulation of n-partite pair-interaction Hamiltonians. We have focussed on the running time overhead of general simulations, while considering the required number of time steps only for special cases (decoupling and time-reversal). These two complexity measures differ significantly. Here we derive lower bounds on the number of time steps for general simulations. In particular, the simulation of interaction graphs with irrational spectrum requires at least n steps. We discuss as examples graphs that correspond to graph codes and nearest neighbor interactions in 1and 2-dimensional lattices. In the latter case the lower bounds are almost tight.

Simulating arbitrary pair-interactions by a given Hamiltonian: graph-theoretical bounds on the time-complexity

We use an n-spin system with permutation symmetric zz-interaction for simulating arbitrary pair-interaction Hamiltonians. The calculation of the required time overhead is mathematically equivalent to a separability problem of n-qubit density matrices. We derive lower and upper bounds in terms of chromatic index and the spectrum of the interaction graph. The complexity measure defined by such a ...

DALD:-Distributed-Asynchronous-Local-Decontamination Algorithm in Arbitrary Graphs

Network environments always can be invaded by intruder agents. In networks where nodes are performing some computations, intruder agents might contaminate some nodes. Therefore, problem of decontaminating a network infected by intruder agents is one of the major problems in these networks. In this paper, we present a distributed asynchronous local algorithm for decontaminating a network. In mos...

Robust Distributed Source Coding with Arbitrary Number of Encoders and Practical Code Design Technique

The robustness property can be added to DSC system at the expense of reducing performance, i.e., increasing the sum-rate. The aim of designing robust DSC schemes is to trade off between system robustness and compression efficiency. In this paper, after deriving an inner bound on the rate–distortion region for the quadratic Gaussian MDC based RDSC system with two encoders, the structure of...

A New Heuristic Algorithm for Drawing Binary Trees within Arbitrary Polygons Based on Center of Gravity

Graphs have enormous usage in software engineering, network and electrical engineering. In fact graphs drawing is a geometrically representation of information. Among graphs, trees are concentrated because of their ability in hierarchical extension as well as processing VLSI circuit. Many algorithms have been proposed for drawing binary trees within polygons. However these algorithms generate b...
